Technologies see the main technologies available to provide Internet and telephone. Internet and telephone via modem: connection is made through a telephone call, using a modem that allows data transmission through the PSTN line. It is a type of economic but very slow connection with a maximum speed of 56 kbps.

Internet and ISDN telephone: connection is made through a telephone call via RTC, using ISDN cards. It offers greater speed than the analog connection, up to 64 kbps. Internet and telephone cable: consists of installing optical fiber to the Subscriber, being an IP connection. It uses a modem and allows speeds from 256 kbps up to several Mbps. It is a very widespread connection type and they are usually rate rate flat. Internet and ADSL phone: is a type of connection by IP which is via ADSL modem and distributed via the PSTN telephone line, making it the IP connection with lower cost of installation. It is the most used connection today and they tend to treat the type connections rate flat. The connection speed goes from 1 Mbps to 20 Mbps.

Internet and mobile phone: Internet connections through mobile telephony 3 G/GPRS have the great advantage of their mobility, which allows accessing the Internet anywhere with mobile coverage. The disadvantages include limited speed, instability of the connection and tariffs that penalize data traffic. Internet and telephone satellite: used in those areas where it is not possible to establish another type of connection. Its strengths are the wide coverage, high speed and reliability, while its disadvantages are the price, vulnerability to eavesdropping, delay in transmission, sensitivity to atmospheric occurrences and complexity, since it requires the installation of a satellite dish. Internet and WiMAX phone: used for the transmission of radio waves, and is used to provide broadband services in areas where the deployment of fiber or cable presents very high by the low density of population per user costs. It offers speeds up to 20 Mbps symmetrical, employs high-gain directional antennas and has a range of up to 80 kilometres.
