In 2008 Law 11738 was sancionada that it establishes the wage floor of the professors in R$ 950,00. According to this Law, the States and cities would have until 1 of January of 2010 to start to pay the minimum remuneration to the professors of basic education that worked 40 weekly hours and had complete average education. The law was a form that the Brazilian government found to value the teaching work, considering that many earn much less that this. Although being valid since January of 2009 the Law of the wage floor not yet was applied in all the country. As surveys of the Confederation of the Workers in Education exist states that not yet had initiated its implantation, as it is the case of Rondnia, Gois, Rio Grande Do Sul. These States allege that they lack mounts of money to effect improvements in the wages of the professors established legally for Law 11738/2008. The new Law foresees that the Secretariats of Education at least reserve 1/3 of the horria load of work of the professors for activities extra-classrooms, but to fulfill this determination, she will be necessary to contract new professors what will be able to disable the fulfilment of the same one, had to exceed the Law of fiscal responsibility that is of 65% of the budgetary resources of the Government. The managers they allege that this makes impracticable the act of contract of new professors or disables to offer a worthy wage to that already they are in the net. For the Law of the wage floor, all the professionals of the teaching with inferior wage to the floor, who play the docncia of pedagogical support in the scope of the pertaining to school units of the basic education have right to the established value, however, it does not regulate a floor for professors with university diploma, task that was in charge of the state and municipal authorities to define the advantages of the positions in accordance with the formation and or specialization and inside of the Plan of Positions and Careers established.
